September 20, wednesday : we all tell our stories differently.

I walk on the streets in a city foreign

My feet lead me to places I don't know

Am I left astray, or is there somewhere to go?

Some land where I don't worry while I search for a place to call home.

I stand on the grass, my shoes off my feet

I feel it below cold and clean.

Wisteria hangs above my head from the tree and slowly rain begins to drop softly;

As if phantom fingers brushing tears, tracing skin as the water kisses my scars.

A breeze hits me and whispers to me, 'Do you know who you are ?'

I searched into the depths of my being but found no answer. No answer to this conundrum. I don't feel myself. My thoughts detached from my body. I scramble to find the right words. I disappoint as the poet in me fades alive.

I dig the earth in search of hope.

Where am I?

I look in the mirror, and there I stand

I no longer know who I really am.

A lifeless face pale and unappealing.

The iciness of winter and thorns begin to grow

While I leave a trail of woven words behind never to be known.
